My Everyday Winter Makeup Routine

Hey everyone! Today I am going to be sharing my Winter makeup routine. I've been using a bunch of new makeup products lately and wanted to share them with you.

First off I like to prime my face using the Benefit POREfessional primer. I really like this product because it smooths out your face and makes your face makeup apply better and look nicer. Next, I apply my Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous foundation in the shade 305 with a damp sponge from Swissco. I recently purchased this foundation from Ulta because it was on sale for like $3! It feels extremely lightweight on the skin and is great for oily skin. I apply my Rimmel Match Perfection concealer in the shade 335. This concealer is a shade lighter than my skin and I like to highlight the bridge of my nose, my forehead and my under eye area. I set all of this with my Laura Mercier Loose Setting powder in translucent. I have been using this same powder for over 3 years now and the container is still not empty! I dust this all over my face with my big fluffy brush from Sonia Kashuk

I like to bronze my face with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer in medium/deep. I like to use this Real Techniques brush to bronze my face and lightly contour. I also just picked up this Carli Bybel palette from Ulta and fell in love with it! It's perfect for eyeshadow or highlighter. I've been using the Sonia Kashuk Blusher brush to mix the first three highlighter shades at the bottom of this palette. I dust these shades on the tops of my cheekbones to give a nice glowy look.

For eyebrows, I use the Skone Brow Wand in chocolate to first brush them out. Then I use the other side of the wand and very lightly outline the outer half of my brows and fill them in. I like to make them look more natural by also using this eyeliner/brow brush from Essence to apply this Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in the shade Blonde to my eyebrows. I fill in the inner part of my brows with this, so that my eyebrows don't look super harsh. I set this all in place with the Maybelline brow gel in transparent.

I use the eye brushes in this set by Sonia Kashuk to apply the Morphe 35T palette(currently sold out) to my eyes. I like using the light brown shades as transition colors, the dark brown/purple shades as outer corner colors and the gold shades as all over the lid colors concentrating in the middle of the lid. I also pop some of the highlighter from the Carli Bybel palette in the inner corner of my eyes to make them look brighter and more awake.

I like to add this Essence black eyeliner to my tightline and my waterline. Sometimes I skip this step, but if I am feeling like a more dramatic look I will add liquid eyeliner to my eyes. On the day that I took the pictures below, I also decided to add some false lashes by Ardell. I use this Ardell kit to apply the lashes. It's a great false eyelash starter kit because it comes with glue, tweezers and two pairs of lashes!

After I apply the lashes, I curl them with this eyelash curler I got from Target. This eyelash curler does a great job of lifting your eyelashes and make them stay curled for the entire day! I like to curl the fake eyelashes with my real lashes so that they stay together and don't look separate. Then I apply some of The Balm mascara which is a great mascara for separating your lashes.

Lastly, I apply some Hanalei lip treatment to my lips, which adds a lot of moisture to them!

Here are some pictures of the makeup look!

New Years Eve Party Outfit + Makeup Look

Hey everyone! New Year's Eve is right around the corner and it's that time of the year when people are busy shopping for the perfect New Year's Eve party outfit. Here is an outfit that will give you inspiration for your outfit!
NYE Party Outfit

Velvet has been a huge trend recently! I think this blue velvet crop top paired with the silver sequin skirt is a perfect festive outfit. You will definitely stand out and sparkle in a crowd. The motorcycle jacket looks really good over the top and adds a edgier detail while also keeping you warm.

Fake eyelashes will add a lot to the look and make your eyes pop. Kohl eyeliner is also a great makeup staple for a New Year's Eve party look because it's easy to smudge around your eyes to add a more dramatic look. A dark blue smoky eye would look nice with this outfit also! If you decide to do a dramatic eye look, then you should definitely keep the lips simple by swiping on a layer of nude or pink lipstick so your makeup isn't too overpowering.

Of course add some festive nail polish and spritz on some perfume and you should be all ready for NYE!

Thanks for reading! I hope you all have a great NYE!

What to Wear to a Holiday Party

Hey everyone! Today I am going to share with you an outfit that I put together. It's perfect for a holiday party or going to the theatre. You can also add tights if you live in a city that is cooler. I hope you find inspiration from this look for your own holiday party look!
holiday party outfit

Crushed velvet is a huge trend this Winter, and I think a velvet dress makes any outfit more glam. I also think gold and burgundy are beautiful, festive colors for the Winter. This gold velvet dress is so pretty and the white soft jacket will keep you warm while also looking super stylish

Liquid eyeliner is a perfect makeup staple because it makes your eyes pop. False eyelashes will also make your eyes pop and make them appear more open and dramatic. You can never have too much highlighter, and this one from Laura Mercier is extremely stunning. Liquid lipstick is also a must have, especially when you are going to be drinking or eating food. Liquid lipstick is designed to keep your lip color staying on your lips all day, without transferring or smudging off.

You can top off this look with a nice smelling perfume and some cute accessories, like the choker and the ring!

Thanks so much for reading! I hope you all have a great holiday!

Ipsy Glam Bag Review | December 2016

If you decide to try out Ipsy for a month, you can use my referral link- http://bit.ly/2gQa9jx

-Ofra Highlighter (4g) // http://bit.ly/2gVxcVO
-Tarte Maracuja Oil (7mL) // http://bit.ly/2hOcegi
Here's the card that came in my glam bag. All the products in the bag are based around the holiday season and are perfect for any holiday party.
I've already used this product so much and I really love it! It is super moisturizing and is great for hydrating your lips after you exfoliate them with a lip scrub. It doesn't have a smell and is a thick consistency. It is also great for wearing overnight so that you wake up with lips that aren't chapped.

I usually use a sponge to blend out concealer, but this brush is nice if you need to blend a small area. It works well and blend nicely.

I usually don't wear liquid eyeliner because it can get really messy. I think this liquid eyeliner is really easy to use. I normally will apply it to my eyes and then wait for about 30 seconds to let it dry. Once it's dry, it does not budge at all which is great! I received this eyeliner in blackberry which is a dark black color.

This is a highlighter/eyeshadow in the shade bliss. It comes in a magnetic pan that can be put into a magnetic makeup palette like a Z palette. The color is extremely pretty and very versatile. It is also extremely pigmented as you can see in the picture above. I love that you can wear this as an eyeshadow and a highlighter!

I've heard great things about this oil so I was excited to try it out. You can do so many things with the oil, like put it on nails, hair and skin or use it as makeup remover! You could also use the oil as a highlighter too. It comes with a dropper so you don't have to pour out the oil on your hand and waste product.

My favorite product from the December Ipsy glam bag is the...
OFRA HIGHLIGHTER

2016 Christmas Gift Guide | Makeup Lover

Hey everyone! Christmas is coming right up so I put together a few things that I think would be perfect gifts for someone who is a makeup fanatic. I did a holiday gift guide last year too that you can check out here. I hope you all find this useful :)

Christmas gift guide - makeup
Victoria's Secret perfume set | makeup brush setCiaté nail polish set | Too Faced makeup set | makeup bag | Sephora mask set | straightener | First Aid Beauty set | Stila liquid lipstick set | The Body Shop gift set | Clarisonic mia 2 | Becca palette | Huda eyeshadow palette | Ardell false eyelashes | Philosophy set

I think sets of things are perfect to buy for people! The Body Shop has great deals on holiday sets around Christmas, and they all smell so good! To save money, you can also buy sets and split them up to give to people.

Face masks and skincare sets are also great presents, especially during winter because usually skin starts to get dry.

Face and eyeshadow palettes are always nice to buy, especially if you know the favorite brands of the person you are shopping for. If you know someone who is just starting out with makeup, you could also buy a makeup brush set with all the basic brushes in it.

Hopefully you found this post useful! If you want more ideas, check out my post from last year here.

Ipsy Glam Bag Review | November 2016

Hey everyone! Today I am going to be sharing with you what I received in the November Ipsy glam bag. I just recently subscribed to Ipsy, which is a beauty subscription box that sends you 4-5 products a month for $10.  I only bought the November bag, because I wanted to try it out first before I committed to a whole year. Once you sign up, you fill out a questionnaire that will determine the kinds of products that will be sent in your bag each month. I think it is such a great idea, because the bags are personalized and customized just for you.

I did some research before I bought the bag and compared it to other beauty subscription boxes like Birchbox. I decided on Ipsy because they focus more on makeup products, while Birchbox focuses more on skin and hair care.

Another thing I enjoyed about Ipsy was that you can earn points by reviewing products you have received or by referring friends. You can click here to use my referral link if you'd like- http://bit.ly/2gQa9jx. You can use these points to redeem extra products in your next glam bag.

-The Balm Mad Lash (2.5mL) // http://bit.ly/2gaSsa0
-Skone Brow Wand in Chocolate (.3g) // http://bit.ly/2geSe3k
I already have this primer and I really love it. It's great at smoothing over pores and imperfections. It also makes your skin makeup look flawless and makes it easier to apply foundation and concealer. This product was a trial size which is perfect for makeup beginners so they can test out a new primer.

This hair smoothing oil smells nice and makes my hair feel smooth and shiny. I like to use it on the ends of my hair. I also use it on any spots that are frizzy.

This is a creamy gel pink highlighter. The color is really pretty and looks nice on tan skin. It is perfect for highlighting cheekbones and can also be used as blush. It gives a nice healthy glow to the skin.

I really love this mascara! The wand is great for lengthening and volumizing your lashes. The small bristles are also good for separating the lashes so they don't look clumpy or give a spidery effect.

This is one of my favorite products from this glam bag. The shade matches my brows nicely and the brow wand is dual-ended. On one side is a brow pencil and on the other side is a spoolie to comb out your brows. The brow pencil doesn't make my brows look too harsh and the product is very easy to blend out to give a more natural look to you brows.

My favorite product from my November glam bag is the...
SKONE BROW WAND IN CHOCOLATE

I resubscribed to Ipsy for the December glam bag because I really loved my November bag. If you're interested in receiving a glam bag of your own, you can sign up here
